Windows 7 RTM Dodges Critical 0-Day

win7_boxMicrosoft has confirmed that a zero-day vulnerability in Server Message Block (SMB) could allow remote code execution in the event of successful attacks. Different grades of Windows are affected, the company reported, however, this is not the case with Windows 7 RTM Build 6.1.7600.16385, or the golden Windows Server 2008 R2. However, Microsoft said that they had detected no specific targeting to the SMB 2.0 security flaw and was not aware of the impact of customers.

Security Mistakes That You Should Not Do

Consciously or not our busy make us become sloopy. The effect is we can make many mistakes, especially in security mistakes. Acctually, these mistakes are basic error but can give a great impact for our job. These some things that should be avoided when we become sloopy:

1. Send important data via un-encryption email

Do not send password, PIN, and data account anymore via email without ecryption. Many people are lazy and do not know using encryption. Although we want to give important information via email, it doesnt mean that you can provide a secure communication at the time you send the data. (more…)

Sality Virus

Sality is a virus with keylogging and backdoor capabilities. It may infect executable files by prepending its code to host files. In some cases, computers that have not been engaged by anti-virus program and infected sality requires several steps to clean the virus.
Next I will explain briefly how to clean sality virus, here we go:

1. Disconnect the computer from the network and internet

2. Turn off System Restore during the cleaning process

3. Turn off the Autorun and Default Share. Please download the file and run the following ways:  right-click install repair.inf
